The American Falls from the Cave of the Winds walkway, at Niagara Falls in Niagara Falls, NY.
The Cave of the Winds used to be a cavernous opening behind Bridal Veil Falls, and the walkway originally went back there. In the 1950s, the ledge that created the opening was removed for safety reasons, and now the "Cave of the Winds" tour just walks around at the bottom of the gorge in front of the waterfall. It's still awesome, but not really very caveish anymore.
